Oils have dated back to the days of Cleopatra and are known to be the most highly concentrated form of their host. Rich in fatty acids, anti-oxidants and nutrients they are able to penetrate down deeper into the skin and deliver reparative results. You can layer them under a moisturizer or mix them into your favorite moisturizer(my daily ritual) and mix them into a thicker foundation to sheer out the coverage and offer extra hydrating benefits. But how do you know if you are getting the best oil ingredients in your favorite skincare product?
You have probably heard of ‘Cold Pressed’ before, maybe more in your local Juicery or on your favorite Olive Oil Bottle, but its time to pay attention to your skincare as well. Cold Pressed is a method to create emulsion without using heat so the active ingredients stay more potent and concentrated.
What you should know:
*Rich in Fatty Acids/Nutrients/Anti-Oxidants
*Processed without Chemical Extraction
*Hexane Free( a solvent used to extract insecticides used to grow the seeds, nuts and veggie oil crops; used in industrial cleaners and degreasers- basically NOT GOOD for your skin!!)
*Stored in dark bottles away from the direct sunlight
*Use the best Oils for your skintype
*Oils attract UV rays, make sure to layer with a light sunscreen
